When: Saturday, September 7th, 10am

Description: Join the Appleton Chapter of Daughters of American Revolution, Riverside Cemetery, and Appleton Historical Society to learn about the proper way to clean a headstone and what supplies should be used. There will be a live demonstration of gravestone cleaning.

A limited number of gravestone cleaning kits will be for sale for $35 from the DAR. Each kit includes an 8 oz. bottle of D/2, a tampico brush, 16 oz. bottle for water, toothbrushes, rounded wooden sticks, and instructions in a washable nylon foldable bag. NOTE: This event will still happen if there is rain, but will be canceled if there is lightning or if the nighttime temps get colder than 45 degrees (which makes the D/2 solution not work!).
